Getting started
Before you commit to anything.
What is the Report Card and is it really free?
It is a manual review of your website and search presence graded across 12 areas: Google Business Profile, map pack ranking, reviews, NAP consistency, mobile experience, page speed, technical SEO, service pages, local content, conversion setup, competitors, and AI search visibility. You get a grade, the three highest-value fixes in order, and nothing else attached. It is free, no card, no call required.
How long does it take?
Within 24 hours in almost every case. If something delays it, you get an email saying so rather than silence.
Do I have to get on a call?
No. The Report Card is delivered by email whether or not you want to talk. If you do want to talk, it is thirty minutes with me.
What if I just want to take the findings and fix it myself?
Do it. Some people do, and that is a legitimate outcome. The Report Card is written so a competent person can act on it without hiring anyone.
Money
Pricing, contracts, and what it costs.
Why is there no pricing on this website?
Because a five-page site for a fence installer and a full Shopify rebuild with a product catalog are not the same job, and pretending they are with a single number on a page helps nobody. A published rate card either overcharges the small job or underdelivers on the large one. You get a fixed written price after we know what the work actually is.
So when do I find out the price?
After the Report Card and the strategy call, in a written scope document. It lists what gets built, what happens each month, who does it, what it costs, and what is explicitly not included. Nothing starts until you have that in hand and agree to it.
Do you require a long contract?
No. Build work is scoped and priced as a project. Ongoing work is month to month unless you specifically want a longer term for budgeting reasons.
Is ad spend included in your fee?
No, and it never should be. Media spend is paid by you directly to Google or Meta, on your own account which you own. Management is a separate line. Bundling the two is how agencies hide what they are actually charging.
Who owns the website and the accounts?
You do. Your domain, your Shopify account, your Google Business Profile, your ad accounts, your analytics. If we part ways you keep everything and nothing gets held hostage.
Results
What you can and cannot expect.
Can you guarantee page one on Google?
No. Nobody can, and anyone who does is either guessing or lying to you. Google does not sell ranking positions and does not take instructions from agencies. What is guaranteed is the work in the scope, honest reporting, and a straight answer on whether the investment makes sense.
How long before I see something?
Google Business Profile work and review generation can move within weeks. Website and technical SEO changes typically take two to four months to show in rankings. Paid ads produce data immediately but usually need thirty to sixty days of optimization before the cost per lead settles. Anyone promising faster is describing an exception, not a plan.
How will I know it is working?
One monthly report in plain English: what was done, what it produced, what changed in rankings and traffic, and what happens next. Calls and form fills are tracked, so the conversation is about leads rather than impressions.
What if it is not working?
We say so in the report and change the approach. If the honest answer is that your bottleneck is pricing, capacity, or sales follow-up rather than marketing, you will hear that too. You are month to month for a reason.
Working together
How the relationship actually runs.
Who does the work?
I run strategy and own the relationship on every account. Execution is supported by specialists in design and development, search and content, and paid media and video, so your website is not being built by the same person editing your video.
Will I get passed to an account manager?
No. The person who scopes your work is the person who runs your calls and answers your email. That is the entire point of a small shop.
What size business do you work with?
Owner-operated small businesses, typically one to twenty employees, often a single location or a small service area. If you already have an in-house marketing team, you probably do not need us.
Do you work outside Michigan and Indiana?
Most clients are in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, and local work is easier when we know the market. Remote engagements outside that footprint are fine when the fit is right.
Do you take on competitors in the same market?
No. If we are working with a roofer in your service area, we will tell you and decline. You cannot honestly optimize two businesses competing for the same map pack.
What if we are not a fit?
I will say so on the first call, before you have spent anything, and point you somewhere more useful if I can.
Still have a question? Just ask.
Email goes straight to Sam and gets a real reply, not an autoresponder.
